Date and Location: Friday, July 31st, 2020 – Selma location (Kings Canyon Room): 10273 Golden State Blvd., Selma, CA 93662 (class size limited to 10)
Time: 8am – 4pm with an hour break with a provided lunch
Cost: $500/student – A purchase order or payment is required to reserve a spot
SITECH Pacific will be holding a training session on Trimble GNSS Base/Rover training using Trimble SiteWorks software. The training will be held at our Quinn facility in Selma, CA on Friday, July 31st, 2020. The class will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with breaks. Lunch will be included.
The training will cover the following topics in a Power Point Presentation lasting for approximately one hour.
- Introduction to Siteworks controller and software
- Introduction to Global Navigation Satellite System Basics
- Site Calibration for local coordinate systems
- Common error of GNSS user (setup, human error, environment)
- Using Trimble Business Center to convert and export machine & rover files
The rest of the day will be hands on work outside the classroom.
- Setup a job site (Base, Rover & Software)
- Calibrate a site using known control points
- Export calibration and design information for Earthworks & GCS900
- Survey cuts and fills of a design surface
- Topo an area to create an as-built surface
- Save surface as design for volume calculations
- Learn basic COGO functions (creating points/lines, delete, calc. volumes)
We plan on hosting other training classes throughout the year based on demand.
