Position Opening – Support Apprentice

SUMMARY
This is an apprenticeship / intern position. The expectation would be to learn the following.

Trimble Machine Control Products and functionality
Parts ordering and inventory
Rental processes including inventory, check out and in
Installation of Trimble products
Basic Business Center Software
In-house basic laser repair and service
Basic CAT Grade Control
Vision Link
Connected Work Site
Operation of business software

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties as needed.

Working to support Sales, Rentals, Parts and Service
Inventory placement and control for Rentals / Parts / New Equipment
Check in / out rentals
Rental Room maintenance
Assist as needed with installations and service
Deliver equipment as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid California Driver’s License for vehicle used in performance of duties.

TRAINING
Training in this position would be a combination of the following:

SUMMARY / EXPECTATIONS
This position is entry level. We would expect a self-starter with desire to learn about GPS aided machine control for the construction environment. This position will require an aptitude for both technical mechanical skills.
