Date and Location: Thursday, April 2nd, 2020 - Bakersfield location: 2200 Pegasus Dr., Bakersfield, CA 9330 (class size limited to 10)
Time: 8am - 4pm with an hour break with a provided lunch
Cost: $500/trainee

Goals
Learn the basics of Site Positioning Systems as they are used to support earthmoving technology. This includes:

In the classroom
  1. Site Controller devices and software
  2. Global Navigation Satellite System Basics
  3. Site Calibrations for local coordinates
  4. Common errors of GNSS users (setup, human error, environment)
  5. Using Trimble Business Center to convert and export machine and rover files

In the Field
  1. Setup a job site (Base, Rover, Software)
  2. Calibrate a site using known control points
  3. Export calibration and design information for Earthworks & GCS900
  4. Survey cuts and fills of a design surface
  5. Topo an area to create an as-built surface
  6. Save surface as design for volume calculations
  7. Learn basic COGO functions (creating points/lines, delete, calc. volumes)
